POCKET PLAYGROUND PRIVACY POLICY FOR APP USERS
Pocket Playground knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy practices (“Privacy Policy”). By using mobile application’s (“Apps”, “apps”) developed by Pocket Playground you accept the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.
WHAT DOES THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVER?
This Privacy Policy covers Pocket Playground’s treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that Pocket Playground gathers when you access or use our “apps”. When you use one of these Apps, we may collect certain Personal Information from you as part of this process, as further set forth in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not cover (i) use of information by third parties we do not control, or (ii) our collection or use of Personal Information collected other than through “Apps” (e.g., through use of our websites at www.pocketplayground.net (the “Website”)).
WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES POCKET PLAYGROUND COLLECT?
Pocket Playground apps are built using third party platforms / services which may collect personal information.
Corona Labs Inc (“Corona”) is the currently the primary platform used for Pocket Playground apps. The following list is some of the apps which are built with this platform. “Pocket Rummi”, “Pivot Point”, “pCars Dash”, "RS Dash", “Gem Jamboree”. Corona based apps collect the following types of information from you when you use one of our Apps built with this platform. Your IP address (including country of origin), App version, device operating system (including version), device make and model, UDID or other unique device identifier (only in anonymized form—i.e., not associated with any other personally identifiable information), and the current time each time you launch an App. In addition, while you are using an App, we collect information regarding the various actions and paths you take when using that App (“Events”), including a timestamp associated with each Event.
Cookies / SessionIDs – Although the apps do not place cookies on your device when you use one of our Apps, each time you launch an App, a unique session ID (a “Session ID”) is assigned to that launch of the App which is associated with the other information that we collect during your use of the App during that launch session. The Session IDs are not associated with Personal Information.
Some Pocket Playground apps are integrated with Facebook (“Facebook”). Linking our apps to Facebook is an optional step which is not required to use our apps, but it is recommended as it enhances the user experience. When you integrate one of our apps with Facebook, that app will have access to some of your personal information that you have provided to Facebook. The information accessed by our apps is usually things such as your Facebook ID, name, photo, friends and data stored on Facebook related to that specific app such as your scores and friend’s scores. The app may also have the ability to post messages to your timeline and post app requests to your friends however these services are only used when the user chooses to do so. The following list is some of the apps which integrate with this platform. “Gem Jamboree”.
Some Pocket Playground apps are integrated with services provided by ShepHertz Technologies Pvt Ltd (“App42”). App42 provides backend storage services for things such as leaderboards and custom databases. When you choose to link our apps to Facebook, they may also be linked to App42 services automatically. This is because we use a combination of both services to provide an enhanced user experience. For example in our app “Gem Jamboree”, Facebook is used for tracking game progress and interacting with friends. App42 is used to store the leaderboards for each game level as well as your game profile. Your facebook ID (which is a large number) is recorded against each score you record when using this service. Your game profile is also stored against this ID. App42 provides a service to provide a list of the high scores from your Facebook friends for a particular game level so you can compare them against your own score. The access token provided to our apps when you connect them to facebook is used to provide the App42 services with the ability to perform this service.
As Pocket Playground apps integrate with third party services, it is important that you also read the privacy policies of the companies who provide these services. By accepting this privacy policy you are acknowledging that you have read and also accept the Privacy Policy of our third party partners. The privacy policies of our partners can be easily found on their respective websites.
HOW DOES POCKET PLAYGROUND USE PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We only use your Personal Information (i) in aggregate, anonymized form for marketing purposes (e.g., to describe the total number of users who are using our Apps), (ii) to further develop and improve our Apps by analysing metrics of the types of devices and operating systems our apps are installed on.
WILL POCKET PLAYGROUND SHARE ANY OF THE PERSONAL INFORMATION IT RECEIVES?
We do not rent, sell or disclose your Personal Information to anyone - except for the following limited purposes:
Agents: We may employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf – meaning they are helping us provide services within our apps. We may share your Personal Information with such companies/persons solely as required for them to provide the services we require.
Business Transfers: In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, customer information is typically one of the business assets that are transferred. Moreover, if Pocket Playground, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Pocket Playground goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, customer information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party.
Protection of Pocket Playground and Others: We may release Personal Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law; enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Pocket Playground, our employees, our users, or others.
With Your Consent: Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your Personal Information may be shared with third parties, and will be able to prevent the sharing of this information.
CONDITIONS OF USE
If you decide to use our apps, any possible dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of Western Australian state law.
WHAT CHOICES DO I HAVE?
All of our apps collect basic analytics as described in the section “WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES POCKET PLAYGROUND COLLECT?”. If you do not accept the collection of this information you must not use any Apps developed or distributed by Pocket Playground.
A subset of our apps offer optional integration with third party social media platforms such as Facebook. If you do not agree to the privacy policy relating to the use of these services then you must not link our apps with these platforms when prompted. You are not required to link to these platforms, however your user experience may be affected. For example, you will not be able to compare scores with friends.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
Pocket Playground may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make changes in the way we use Personal Information, we will notify you by changing this document and posting on our website. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses the Apps after such notice has been provided.
If any court or other competent authority finds any of the terms of this Privacy Policy to be invalid or unenforceable, the other terms of this Privacy Policy will not be affected.
This Privacy Policy is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Western Australia. Any dispute arising in connection with this Privacy Policy will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
